About 2009 Display
For 2009, we have approximately 80,000 lights.  We get asked this alot.

There is about 4,000 feet of extension cords and 200 amps of power running the display.  My light bill goes up about $90, but it went up about $50 long ago when I had static non-animated displays.  We try to use LED lights as much as we can afford and with the lights turning off and on they don't use as much electricity.

We have 336 channels of computer animated lights.  That basically means that 336 things can be changing at any given time.  Whether the lights are fading, flashing, off or on is controlled by a computer program.  Thanks to the people from Light-o-Rama we are able to do this using their software and products.

Clark programs all the lights using the software and it is a time intensive process, about 8 hours per song at a minimum.  It takes up about 4 weeks of weekends and several work-days to get the display up.  We have lots of help from family and without them it would be impossible.

New additions in 2009 are the Nativity scene, Snowfall lights, Taller Mega Tree, and MORE LIGHTS......

The Mega-tree has 18,880 lights, not counting the star or strobe lights.  It's 22 feet high.  The house alone has over 4,400 lights on it.  The Arches and Tall North Poles have 8,000 lights on them.

All in all, it's lots of lights and never seems to be enough to pacify Clark.  We love to light up the Christmas season and we hope our display can bring happiness to you at this time as we celebrate of the birth of our saviour, Jesus.
